After a planned learning event in May for participants from Greece, Italy, Spain, UK and Ireland had to be postponed, we re-created this event to share our learning online, and spent a week virtually together in early October.
The first publication of the DEPAL project is now ready to be shared: ‘Understanding Participatory and Digital Learning: A Guide for Adult Educators” outlines the theoretical basis to weave together threads from Digital Storytelling and Participatory Education in order to provide a powerful resource and approach for adult educators.

UPDATE ON COURSES FOR 2020 / 2021
In common with many groups and organisations, our courses were suspended during lockdown. As it became clear that this was more than short-term, we worked hard to re-create these courses to happen online.
Creative Facilitation Online for Spring 2021 starts in January 2021. This course will be in five blocks of two half-day sessions, on Thursday and Friday mornings, at three week intervals. For more information, click here
21, 22 January; 11, 12 February; 4, 5 March; 25, 26 March; 15, 16 April. From 10.30 am to 1.00 pm on each of these dates.
This course is designed to resource facilitators and those in facilitative roles who are working with groups face to face or online.
This course began in Kimmage with two days on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th March 2020. And then the world changed and the second block took a different form. We have had a series of online events, and this course has now concluded online. We all learned a lot through the process. For more information about Creative Facilitation click here.
Rekindling the Fire almost returned as a one day course on 10th March 2020. This course is designed for previous participants of Creative Facilitation who want to re-connect with this approach to their work, and to deepen and build on their experience with others. It was re-developed for online experience and happened in October, 2020. For more click here
Playing With Freire was planned for April this year. This course, planned for 21st and 22nd April 2020, was then recreated to take place online in October and November. For more information click here.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Anne Hope, a pioneer of Training for Transformation, in December 2015. Many of us gathered with others on 31st January 2016 to share our memories of Anne and to celebrate her life. Anne Hope: a few words by Sally Timmel
